Parquet flooring

Lamelparket, also known as composite parquet, multilayer parquet, oak multiplank, semi-solid parquet. It is a wooden floor in which several layers of wood are glued together crosswise. The top layer is usually made of oak wood and the bottom layer of birch plywood.

The main advantage of an oak laminate parquet is that it “works” much less. This means that the plank will expand and shrink less under the influence of air humidity compared to a solid plank floor. Because of this unique construction, Belat parquet can offer widths of up to 30 cm.

Parquet on underfloor heating

Composite parquet is extremely suitable for underfloor heating because of its unique construction. The different layers provide the necessary stability and also ensure that the heat is properly transmitted. Composite parquet is often also available in different thicknesses so that the heat can better penetrate through the wood.

Composite parquet in large rooms

Wood works mainly in width and this is certainly evident with solid parquet floors. In poor conditions, solid parquet can expand up to 0.5cm per meter. For large rooms, it is therefore also recommended to opt for a laminate parquet.

Advantages of parquet

  • Suitable for underfloor heating
  • Stability
  • Suitable for large rooms and verandas
  • Indistinguishable from solid parquet
