Mosaic parquet
Mosaic parquet is composed of individual solid wooden slats. It is 7 slats that form a block of 16x16 cm. These are attached to an adhesive mesh and form a joint. The standard size of a block consists of 7 strips. The blocks lie alternately, forming a block pattern. Eight of these blocks are joined together with a net.
Mosaic parquet, also called strip parquet, is therefore the thinnest type of parquet. However, this does not diminish its durability. Because of different arrangements of the slats, countless patterns are possible. Because of its diversity, parquet is very popular. Mosaic parquet is a solid wood floor, which due to its high durability is particularly suitable for rooms with high demands. The parquet is also available in different grades:
- Checkerboard mosaic
- Parallel mosaic
- English bond mosaic
The slats are all individually glued to a net on the underside. In this way, this solid oak parquet is easy and quick to install. The dimensions given are those of 1 individual slat.
These untreated solid oak checkerboard floors are dried. Small knots are allowed. Fallen knots and cracks are sporadically possible. Small remnants of bark are possible.
This oak parquet floor can be optionally finished with hard wax oil or varnish.
Installation is always glued, not nailed. After installation, mosaic is sanded, stopped and finished on site.
Other patterns are also available such as parallel dressing or English dressing.

Mosaic parquet on underfloor heating
Mosaic parquet can be perfectly installed on underfloor heating due to the limited width and length of the planks. Also, the alternating block pattern ensures that the effect remains very limited and therefore the glued installation on underfloor heating is possible.
