Pine parquet floor
Pine is a softwood species where the wood comes from the Scots pine and is still widely used today for all kinds of purposes.
Pine floors, because of its softer wood species, are cheaper compared to an oak parquet. The main reason is the softness of the wood and its shorter lifespan. Usage marks will become visible more quickly. This is why pine parquet is recommended for bedrooms, attics or garages.
Of course, for the true scandinavian look, these planks can also be laid in living areas.
The pine planks are completely solid which makes them NOT suitable for underfloor heating.
At Belat you can choose between different grades:
- Rustic: large knots and natural color differences.
- Extra rustic: large knots which may be open sporadically. Natural color differences. Small defects are also allowed.
Pine parquet is extremely budget-friendly and can provide a lifetime of living pleasure. The floors have a thick wear layer that allows for multiple sanding in the future.
Pine floors and underfloor heating
Pine planks are completely solid which means they are NOT suitable for underfloor heating. For installation on underfloor heating, it is best to opt for a composite parquet floor.

The pine planks with tongue and groove found on this website are not only used as flooring, but also for:

Operation of solid pine boards
Solid pine boards will expand and shrink over the years due to variations in relative humidity. It is therefore very important to keep this value under control. In a well-insulated and ventilated house you will have virtually no problems with this. We recommend a value between 45%-60%.
