Extra extra rustic solid oak parquet

Description

This solid parquet floor is crafted from 100% solid European oak, sourced from the forests of Eastern Europe and Latvia. Unlike engineered parquet (also known as multi-layer parquet, oak multi-plank, or semi-solid parquet, where various layers of wood are glued crosswise), this product consists entirely of a single solid layer of oak wood. This ensures an unparalleled natural look and a floor that can last for generations.

The 'extra extra rustic' grading is the most characterful choice in our range. The planks show nature in its purest form, including all the natural features that give the wood its unique charm. Because solid wood is a living natural product, it reacts to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. It is therefore essential to allow the planks to acclimatize in their closed packaging for at least 5 days in the room where they will be installed, at a temperature of 18-20°C and a relative humidity between 45% and 60%.

You have complete freedom regarding the finish of this floor. It can be treated to your own taste with hardwax oil or varnish to provide the desired color and protection against scratches. In addition, various surface treatments are possible, such as brushing, smoking, planing, or aging, to further emphasize the rustic character. Although the floor is resistant to small amounts of spilled liquid, it is not completely waterproof. Note: due to the natural movement of solid wood, this floor is not suitable for installation over underfloor heating.
